The Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam couple is always appropriate. You can go as Martha and Georges Washington or Women’s Army Corp and WWII soldier. Be creative, there are a lot of other matching pairs available! Couple of guys? How about Confederate and Union soldiers. History is history and it makes a perfect base for costume ideas!
