If you prefer to offer something more expensive, harder to find or vintage, you can shop in antique stores, flea markets or even charity shops. Of course if you need something fast for a quick gift this won’t work as there is absolutely no way to know in advance if you’ll find something. If time is not a problem you can try and find pieces made by well known glass manufacturers such as Daum, Lalique or Wedgwood.
Alternatively you can also shop on Etsy, eBay or other second hand online marketplaces. You can have access to pieces from all around the world and it will be probably easier/faster than visiting stores in person.
And don’t forget, there are many glass makers in your own country, maybe even close to where you live. Even if you don’t plan on buying anything, many manufacturers offer tours. And believe me it’s interesting to see how they work!
